Costs for Tuition

While the cost of an American education is high and can add up to tens of thousands of US dollars, it is an investment that will benefit you for the rest of your life. Since you will be required to prove you have the necessary financial resources in order to obtain an international student visa, it is very important to first calculate how much your total USA education will cost.

A US education is very expensive. Cost for tuition, fees,books, supplies, and health insurace at an undergraduate institution will vary but can range from $15,000 to $40,000 a year, depending on the school. Financial Aid for International Students

Once you have determined how much international student financing you will need, you must next determine how you will obtain that student financing. However, there is very little financial aid for foreign nationals to study in the US. Also, the vast majority of scholarships and students loan are restricted to US citizens and permanent residents.     • ScholarshipExperts.com - This site helps international students who want to study in the USA with time-saving international student scholarship search tools. It also contains advice sections for international students.
    • Free Scholarship Search (FRESCH)- FreSch! has a database of over 2,000 organizations and foundations that offer scholarships, representing approximately 169,000 awards. They also provide tips on finding other scholarships.
  • International Student Loans
    • International Student Loans – This site offers loans to international students, so long as the international student loan is co-signed by an American citizen.
